With a 20+ year career in media spanning broadcast TV to digital adtech/martech, Bret has driven two IPOs, four private exits, over $300M in start-up venture capital, and $12B in liquidity events, all before turning to banking full time. A self-proclaimed math and data wonk, he thrives on digging into the technical details of technology and data; he loves connecting entrepreneurs to experts through his extensive network of contacts to drive business growth and get deals done.

Prior to joining Progress Partners, Bret was President/COO at Tagger Media, a pioneer in influencer marketing and social listening.

Bret earned a degree in Economics from Indiana University and Masters in Data Analytics at Thomas Edison State College. He volunteers for the Saint Baldrick’s Foundation for childhood cancer research and has lent his handyman skills to work as a construction volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, NYC.
