
Kristian Magel
In his role as President, Media Clients, Kris is charged with building bespoke service solutions for existing and prospective clients, growing and enhancing client relationships, improving quality of work, and creating connectivity across the dentsu community of media agency client leaders. Candor, trust and partnership/collaboration to solve challenges are all core to his approach. Kris has demonstrated ability bringing together deep media expertise, analytics, data, innovation and creativity to accelerate the power of advertising and drive improved business results for clients.
Prior to joining dentsu, Kris was East Coast President of Initiative, where a key role was to work directly with C-level clients to translate their high-level business challenges into the right agency solutions. While there, he also held the roles of EVP, Director National Broadcast and Chief Investment Officer, creating one of the first truly integrated Media Investment groups.
Kris’ presence is felt across the industry, in particular his personal efforts to rally industry support for the YMCA’s Arts and Letters Afterschool Program and the National Kidney Foundation. He served as Chair of The Ad Council’s Broadcast TV Committee for over 5 years and is currently a member on the advisory boards of IAB’s Digital Video Center of Excellence and the AD Club of New York.
He is also very lucky to be married to Courtnay Crivits, with whom he partners on raising their two children (now young adults), Amelia (17) and Henry (14).
