We are seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be key in the innovation, research and development of new investment solutions. You will collaborate across teams to both drive forward current research and development efforts and to pursue promising new investment solutions though from idea, design, pilot and to launch.
- Support the banking team by conducting market research, buyer/investor target universe creation, and valuation and market comparable analyses
- Perform financial analysis, including valuation, primarily leveraging the public and private comparables approach
- Perform qualitative and quantitative research on given markets
- Understand the needs of the client or prospective client in order to target research to their benefit
- Maintain a master market valuation database by industry sector and company type, including precedent transaction multiples and public company trading multiples, updating the database continually with announcement of relevant deals
- Maintain a master market research database by industry sector including industry trends, forecasts, and market sizing
- Identify and contact companies who can provide useful financial data in order to strengthen our research database
- Create clear and useful reports and recommendations for Internal and External use
- Interpret data on products and services based on market insights
- Preliminary understanding of financial statements and concepts
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (namely, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong writing and note taking skills
- 3-5 years of research and/or valuation experience
- Experience analyzing companies across various global equity markets
- TMT Sector experienced analysts a plus
- Exceptional analytical skills and rigorous financial statement analysis
- Clarity of thought and excellent communication skills
- Ability to synthesize, present and communicate key industry data, market opportunities and risks in a timely fashion. Ability to reach a well thought through conclusion
- A strong work ethic; an ability to collaborate as well as work independently
- MBA, CFA a plus

The Associate role requires an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, experience with financial statements, financial modeling and strong communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in executing M&A and Equity Capital Markets transactions in the Technology vertical, and a strong desire to be part of a team executing those transactions for high-growth technology companies in the private markets.
The opportunity will provide a growth path towards promotions based upon capabilities, leadership, and client management. The best candidates will be those looking to advance more quickly up the ladder in investment banking and build out a team within a growing an entrepreneurial investment bank and who believe they have the self-motivation to navigate an upward path faster than at traditional large investment banks.

Qualifications
