The role requires a proven ability to lead and execute complex M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong financial modeling and valuation expertise, excellent client-facing communication skills, and experience managing deal processes from origination through close. This position offers the opportunity to take on meaningful leadership responsibilities, mentor junior team members, and contribute to business development while playing a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes for clients in a growing investment banking platform.
- Lead Deal Execution – Manage and execute complex M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions from initial engagement to close;
- Client Management – Serve as secondary point of contact; lead meetings, structure engagements, and align deliverables to client goals;
- Team Leadership – Supervise and mentor Analysts and Associates; oversee modeling, presentations, and internal communications;
- Financial Modeling & Valuation – Build and review complex financial models (DCF, LBO, M&A) and provide insights on valuation and deal structuring;
- Deal Process Oversight – Develop and manage deal timelines, due diligence coordination, and stakeholder alignment across multiple engagements;
- Market & Sector Expertise – Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry dynamics, macroeconomic trends, KPIs, and competitive benchmarking;
- Communication & Presentation – Draft and deliver persuasive client materials, pitchbooks, board presentations, and internal memos;
- Business Development – Build a network, convert leads into clients, and represent the firm at industry events and through thought leadership;
- Operational Excellence – Ensure high-quality output using firm standards/templates and enforce consistent Salesforce usage and data hygiene; and
- Process & Template Improvement – Continuously enhance internal tools, deliverables, and processes to maintain a competitive edge.
Telecommuting is available, but employee must be in-office at least 4 days per week.
Approx. 10% to 20% of time spent on travel. 10-15% domestic and 0-5% international.
Salary Range: one hundred twenty thousand to one hundred forty thousand dollars per year.
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a closely related field and five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience in an occupation in Investment Banking or Mergers & Acquisitions.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a closely related field and two (2) years of work experience in an occupation in Investment Banking or Mergers & Acquisitions.
Candidate must also have the following:
- Demonstrated ability with advanced financial modeling using tools including Excel gained through one (1) year of work experience;
- Demonstrated ability developing client presentations using tools including PowerPoint and Google Sheets gained through one (1) year of work experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge of deal process management, including leading and coordinating diligence, Letters of Intent (LOIs), term sheets, legal docs, and closing using tools including Excel, Virtual Data Rooms, and Salesforce gained through one (1) year of work experience; and
- Demonstrated ability to analyze industry trends, KPIs, and comps to position clients effectively using tools including Capital IQ, FactSet, and Pitchbook gained through one (1) year of work experience.
All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
